Multi-day rafting tours and expeditions are a great way to combine some of the Andes finest landscapes with adventure and fun. Most professional rafting operators are located in Cusco, and run set and customized multi-day floats regularly.

3 Days Apurimac River Rafting

River rafting in Peru

Rafting The Apurimac River, the source of the mighty Amazon Rive

The Apurimac River is the source of the world’s largest river system, the Amazon River, and is also one of the world’s best places to white water raft. Eric Adventures Amazonas Explorers and Apumayo offer regular rafting trips on the Apurimac River, where you will encounter rough class III, IV & V rapids, and on occasion’s often impassable class VI rapids. Experienced guides give thorough training and safety briefings before you start, so it is not necessary to be a professional, yet some experience might be helpful. Tours include camping equipment, transportation and all meals.

Rafting Tour Operators

Note: There are many travel agencies located in and around Cusco’s main plaza, which all claim to sell and operate rafting tours. In reality only a hand full of companies actually operate rafting tours, and therefore we recommend that it is best to book directly with the operator, as it allows you to know exactly who you are dealing with, and what equipment and service you will get.
