Amauta Spanish School - The Only Peru Guide

Amauta Spanish School was founded in 1996 and has offered flexible and diverse courses since then. The school has recently moved buildings, from Calle Suecia to San Augustin Street. Amauta is one of Cusco´s most popular and biggest schools. It offers Spanish classes to all ages and nationalities. It has a team of very qualified, enthusiastic and friendly teachers who are all native Spanish speakers. Group and individual classes are available to students, with a mix of both an option also. They will create “customized instruction at the level and pace that best suits you”. Amauta has schools in other locations in South America, so if you are traveling you can pick up where you left off as you work your way through the continent. Students can chose to stay with Peruvian host families recommended and organized by the school. You can preferably opt to stay in their student residence. Student apartments are also available to those who are staying for longer periods. Volunteering and internships are arranged for students as well, and are of great variety.

Amauta students are encouraged to take part in the activities arranged by the school. The free program includes cooking classes, lectures on Peruvian culture and history, traditional music classes and Latin American movie nights. Amauta Spanish School can also help you plan your bigger trips such as treks to Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, horse riding or white water rafting.
