Our Thoughts!
Loki Hostel is one of the most popular places for backpackers in Cusco, second only to Wild Rover hostel, which is also technically the highest Irish bar in the world, with a gorgeous view. The hostel is super large, but be sure to book before you arrive, as often there is no space. The bar is a okay, but we often found ourselves wandering over to the Wild Rover a few minutes away from the main square. On the down side, Loki Hostel is quite a distance from Cusco’s main square, and is at the top of a great big hill. Also, watch out for any billing mistakes that have been inadvertently charged to your wrist band. This is a party hostel, but most rooms are far enough away from the noise that you can get a good night’s sleep should you been hiking the Inca Trail in the morning! Loki is great, but, if it’s the party you’re coming for, check in to Wild Rover.
