Peru to invest $357 million to encourage tourism

Peruvian Trade & Tourism Minister Eduardo Ferreyros said about 1 billion soles ($357 million) will be invested in infrastructure in the next three years to spur tourism in the north of Peru, El Peruano reported.

The outlays are designed to attract investment in hotels and restaurants, Ferreyros said, according to the state-owned newspaper.


The government plans to hold talks with airlines studying the introduction of flights to Peru, including China Airlines Ltd. and British Airways Plc, Ferreyros also said, according to El Peruano.
